A jury found defendant, Timothy Chatmon, guilty of first-degree murder pursuant to section 9-1 of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Ill.Rev.Stat.1987, ch. 38, par. 9-1). He was sentenced to 35 years' imprisonment. He raises the following issues on appeal: (1) whether his motion to suppress evidence obtained during a traffic stop was improperly denied; (2) whether the State's key witness' testimony was so fraught...
