Wade Lambert and Brent Hasson were injured when Hasson's station wagon struck the rear of Lambert's one-ton truck on the evening of October 16, 1985, near Highway 55 and Hill Road in Ada County. Lambert sued and Hasson counterclaimed, each alleging that the negligence of the other caused the collision, and each seeking to recover for the personal and property damages they sustained as a result of the collision.
