This breach of contract action arose when Don Levin sued his employer, C.O. M.B. Co./CVN Companies, Inc., for unpaid commissions and wrongful discharge. During discovery, the trial court ruled that a letter from the company's outside counsel was protected by the attorney-client privilege and ordered Levin not to disclose, refer to, or use the letter.
