This is an appeal from the dismissal of a habeas corpus petition. In 1986, petitioner Alvin Love was convicted by a Massachusetts Superior Court jury of violating that state's "bail-jumping" statute. Mass. Gen.L. ch. 276, § 82A.1 He was sentenced to a year's imprisonment, to take effect from and after the sentence then being served.
