GRANT, Justice.

This is a postconviction action filed pursuant to Neb.Rev.Stat. §§ 29-3001 et seq. (Reissue 1989). Defendant was convicted, after a jury trial, of the crimes of possession with the intent to deliver heroin and possession with the intent to deliver marijuana. His convictions were affirmed in this court on his direct appeal. See State v. Britt, 228 Neb. 201, 421 N.W.2d 791
