Plaintiff, Norman Paradise, filed suit against defendant, Augustana Hospital and Health Care Center, for breach of a consulting contract. In assessing the evidence at trial, the court construed two letters by defendant and a third letter by plaintiff to determine the effective date of termination of the contract.
