A jury found Pedro M. Hernandez (defendant) guilty of involuntary manslaughter and recommended punishment of imprisonment for a term of seven years. § 565.024.1(2).1 The jury also found defendant guilty of the offense of armed criminal action and recommended that he be sentenced to life imprisonment for that offense. § 571.015.
