Plaintiff, Dennis Echelbarger, appeals the judgment of the circuit court of Lee County dismissing his first amended complaint. The court held that plaintiff's cause of action was barred by the exclusive remedy provision of the Workers' Compensation Act (Act). (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 48, par. 138.1 et seq.).
