The defendant, Curtis Fuzz, was convicted by a jury of aggravated battery (Ill.Rev. Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 12-4(b)(1)). The trial court sentenced him to a term of three and one-half years' imprisonment and ordered him to pay restitution in the amount of $7,693.49. The defendant appeals.
