Wife appeals a dissolution judgment. We review de novo and modify the judgment.

Husband was 39 years old and wife was 45 at the time of the dissolution proceeding in 1989. They were married in 1973. At the time of the marriage, wife was a recent nursing school graduate and husband had just finished his second year of medical school.
