Defendant, Bernard Ivory, was charged in the circuit court of Stephenson County with armed robbery (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 18-2(a)). Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of robbery (Ill. Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 18-1(a)) and sentenced to a term of four years' imprisonment.
