The plaintiff, Ramon Guillan, brought an action for injuries he received when the automobile he was driving collided with an automobile driven by the defendant, Melba Watts. When plaintiff discovered the defendant was underinsured, he notified his insurance carrier, Allstate Insurance Company. Plaintiff also notified his insurer after the defendant offered to settle her liability for her policy limits...
