Douglas Brown, plaintiff-appellant, filed his petition, styled "Equity Action," against defendant-appellee, Clayton Brokerage Co. of St. Louis, Inc. (Clayton), seeking relief under Neb.Rev.Stat. §§ 48-1228 et seq. (Reissue 1984), the Nebraska Wage Payment and Collection Act.
