On May 31, 1988, plaintiff-appellee Gary Tanner filed a complaint in the Municipal Court of Kettering, Ohio, alleging breach of contract and unfair and/or deceptive consumer sales practices in violation of R.C. Chapter 1345. Appellee's claims arose from the purchase of a new automobile. After trial, appellee was awarded $2,100 in damages plus costs, including attorney fees.
