Defendant, David Hough, was charged in the circuit court of Marion County with three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 12-14). Count I was based on an incident which occurred on November 10, 1988, and counts II and III were based upon an incident which occurred on January 27, 1989. The victim was eight years old.
