GREEN v. STATE

No. 90-1178.

581 So.2d 253 (1991)

Jessie GREEN a/K/a Farley Gilbert, Appellant, v. STATE of Florida, Appellee.

District Court of Appeal of Florida, Fifth District.

June 27, 1991.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

James B. Gibson, Public Defender, and Barbara L. Condon, Asst. Public Defender, Daytona Beach, for appellant.

Robert A. Butterworth, Atty. Gen., Tallahassee, and Belle B. Turner, Asst. Atty. Gen., Daytona Beach, for appellee.

COWART, Judge.

We affirm the defendant's convictions but reverse his sentences because the trial court imposed a departure sentence without giving written reasons for departure when the guidelines recommended only a life sentence and the sentence imposed several terms of imprisonment consecutive to a life sentence. See Rease v. State, 493 So.2d 454 (Fla. 1986); Lewis v. State, 550 So.2d 144
