This saga began in September 1984 when the plaintiff, Robert J. Pazienza (Robert), filed a complaint for divorce in Kent County. In this complaint Robert alleged that irreconcilable differences had arisen between himself and the defendant, Mary Ann Pazienza (Mary Ann).
