In 1970 the Homer Laughlin China Company, located in Hancock County, West Virginia granted a perpetual easement to Monongahela Power Company over approximately 3,600 square feet at its plant. The easement entitled Monongahela Power Company to construct a substation to supply Homer Laughlin with electricity.
