WATKINS, Judge.

The defendant, Clay C. Freeman, was charged by bill of information with simple burglary and theft of $500.00 or more, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62 and 67. He was tried by a jury and convicted of both offenses. The State filed an habitual offender bill of information; thereafter, the defendant was adjudicated a second felony habitual offender. The defendant received concurrent sentences of twenty-four years at hard labor for the simple burglary conviction...
