OPINION

ZAPPALA, Justice.

The issue presented in this appeal is whether Article V, Section 18(l) of the Pennsylvania Constitution may be applied to a senior judge. We conclude that Article V, Section 18(l) is applicable to a senior judge regardless of whether the senior judge is acting in such capacity at the time removal from judicial office is sought.
