Plaintiff law firm, Shea, Rogal & Associates ("SRA"), sued its client, Leslie Volkswagen, Inc. ("Leslie"), to recover the balance of attorney fees that it claimed were due and owing on account. Leslie raised the affirmative defense of accord and satisfaction, asserting that it sent a check in full payment of the disputed billing and that SRA accepted the conditional check by depositing it and retaining the funds...
