Coastal Equities, Inc., the owner of a motel in Savannah, appealed to the superior court from a decision of the Chatham County Board of Tax Assessors fixing the motel's fair market value for tax purposes. The case was tried by a jury, which found the fair market value of the property to be $2,350,000, and the trial court entered judgment on the jury's verdict.
