This case arises out of a custody dispute in Family Court between Loral R. Johnson, a resident of Delaware, and Cathy S. Yost, a resident of Vicenza, Italy. Two decisions of that court are at issue. In the first case, the Family Court held that it had subject matter jurisdiction over the custody dispute pursuant to the Uniform Child Custody Act ("UCCJA") as enacted in Delaware.
