Respondent, David Weimer, appeals from an order of the circuit court of Kane County finding him to be a person subject to involuntary admission to the Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (Department). Respondent contends that the statutory provisions for involuntary commitment proceedings were not followed and that, therefore, the court's order is void for want of subject matter jurisdiction...
