The appellant, Billy Dale Dalton, was convicted at a bench trial in the Circuit Court for Harford County (Whitfill, J.) of use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence, attempted murder, and assault and battery. The latter conviction merged into the conviction for attempted murder. Having been sentenced consecutively to 30 years for attempted murder and 20 years for the use of a handgun, he brings this appeal from the judgments entered...
