In his first trial for armed robbery and first-degree murder, the appellant, Clinton Lamar Jackson ("Jackson"), was convicted and sentenced to death. This Court reversed the conviction, vacated the sentence, and remanded for a new trial. Jackson v. State, 498 So.2d 906 (Fla. 1986). On retrial, Jackson again was convicted and sentenced to death.
