Following an adjudicatory hearing in the circuit court of Cook County, the court dismissed the petition for the adjudication of wardship which alleged that the minor, S.D., was neglected based on an injurious environment. The Office of the Public Guardian filed this appeal on behalf of S.D. arguing that the trial court erred when it failed to enter a finding of abuse after it had denied a motion for a directed verdict...
