The facts herein are simply stated. Petitioner, a tenured Correction Officer, was involved in an auto accident. It was alleged he was driving while impaired by alcohol. He entered a plea agreement with the respondent Department of Correction in settlement of disciplinary charges by agreeing to a probationary period of one year from January 20, 1988 through January 20, 1989.
