Appellant Dorcas E. Lasam (Mrs. Lasam) purchased a policy of insurance on her 1970 Pontiac from respondent Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club of Southern California (Interinsurance). The policy named her son, appellant William Lasam (William), as a driver of the Pontiac. On September 5, 1985, the Pontiac was mechanically disabled.
