ROBERTS, Justice.

Roger Lebel appeals his conviction in the Superior Court (Androscoggin County, Lipez, J.) of gross sexual misconduct, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 253 (Supp.1990). Lebel contends the court erred in excluding evidence regarding his character and evidence of bias of the victim's family against him.
