Mother Middy True appeals the denial of her petition to gain custody of her son, Jason (eight years old at the time of the hearing), from father Stephen Elbert with whom the child had lived for seven years since the divorce. She claims the trial court abused its discretion when it refused to change custody and improperly relied on religious factors to deny her custody. She also claims the court abused its discretion in ordering her to pay child support...
