Max Farley and Erma Farley, although not married, lived together for over twenty years and had four children. When Mr. and Mrs. Farley separated in 1982, two children were still under the age of eighteen, so Mr. Farley agreed to a support order, sanctioned by the court, under which Mr. Farley was to pay $150 per month per child during the months that he was employed.
