The defendant was tried to a jury on an information charging him with robbery in the first degree pursuant to General Statutes § 53a-134 (a) (4).1 He was convicted and claims on appeal (1) that the trial court failed to instruct the jury adequately on the essential elements of the offense and thus deprived the defendant of his due process rights, (2) that the trial court improperly instructed the jury on unsupported theories...
