Dorothy Forbes sued Walgreen's pharmacy and its employee pharmacist Donald Wilkins for compensatory and punitive damages because they filled her prescription with the wrong medicine. At jury trial, after Forbes rested her case, the court granted Walgreen's motion for judgment on the evidence as to punitive damages. The jury found damages of $20,000, then attributed 25% fault to Forbes and accordingly reduced...
