At the January, 1989, term of General Sessions for Cherokee County, Emmett Ray Nall was indicted with his brother, Anthony Wayne Nall, on ten counts of breaking into a motor vehicle, one count of grand larceny, one count of malicious destruction of personal property, and one count of assault and battery with intent to kill.
