A jury convicted the defendant, Keith Jamison, of residential burglary (Ill.Rev. Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 19-3). The trial court sentenced him to a four-year term of imprisonment. The defendant appeals.

At trial, Marianne Barcus testified that on October 5, 1989, around 9:30 a.m., she left her home to go shopping. When she returned about 10:45 a.m., she saw her front door close and a black man run from the porch...
