In this appeal from the judgment dissolving the marriage of the parties, the defendant claims that the trial court abused its discretion: (1) in awarding the jointly owned marital residence to the plaintiff; (2) in ordering the defendant to assume the encumbrances on the marital property except for the first mortgage and unpaid real estate taxes; (3) in awarding the plaintiff alimony in the amount of $125 per week for five years to terminate in the event...
