Willow Tree Learning Center, Inc. ("Willow Tree") is a private day-care center located in Landover, Maryland. On July 20, 1987, 5-year-old Brian Vincent Sanders was fatally injured while using playground equipment on Willow Tree's premises.1 Brian's parents filed a negligence action against Willow Tree in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County, Maryland.
