This appeal arises out of an action brought by appellee and cross-appellant, J. Stephen Adams, against appellant and cross-appellee, Patricia J. Manown, individually, and trading as North Star Design & Publishing (North Star),1 to recover funds that he allegedly transferred to her and to the business.
