This case arises out of a fatal automobile collision on U.S. Highway 30 where it passes by the Archer-Daniels-Midland plant (hereafter "ADM") in southwest Cedar Rapids, Iowa. At the time of the collision, plumes of steam from the factory's vapor towers had combined with cold climatic conditions to create a dense fog across the highway.
