The Iowa City Community School District employed Connie Welk as a substitute teacher during the 1987-88 and 1988-89 academic years. In 1987-88 she worked for 162.5 days of the 190-day academic year, in 1988-89 she worked for 173 days of the 190-day academic year. In 1987-88 Ms. Welk primarily replaced teacher Michelle Moore.
