After his employment as building inspector had been terminated on January 12, 1988, the plaintiff, Christopher Sansone, brought this action against the defendants, the city of Ansonia, Thomas Clifford, its mayor, and Daniel Nugent, who was appointed to succeed Sansone. While the action was pending, a fourth defendant, Edward Liskiewicz, who had been appointed to replace Nugent after he had resigned his position...
