NEFF, J.

Pursuant to a plea bargain, defendant pleaded guilty of larceny from a person, MCL 750.357; MSA 28.589. Defendant was sentenced to four years' probation,1 with the first year to be served in the county jail.

One of the terms of probation was successful completion of a probation enhancement program (PEP). When defendant was discharged from the PEP for testing positive for drug use, he was cited for a probation violation...
