Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

We reject the defendant's contention that his right to a speedy trial was violated. We are satisfied that the documentary proof offered in opposition to the defendant's motion to dismiss the indictment pursuant to CPL 30.30 and 30.20 demonstrated that between August 17, 1987 and August 29, 1988 the defendant's location was unknown and that he was attempting to avoid prosecution.
