The sole issue in these appeals is whether special workers' compensation benefits under General Statutes § 31-308 (d)1 awarded for permanent partial impairment of one's heart are payable concurrently with dependent death benefits under General Statutes § 31-306 (b) (2).2 We conclude that concurrent payment of such benefits is prohibited.
