The defendant, James F. Walsh III,1 appeals from a judgment rendered on a verdict against him, awarding the plaintiff $75,000 in a medical malpractice action arising out of the defendant's alleged failure to obtain the plaintiff's informed consent to the administration of general anesthesia before surgery.
