Karen Harper was charged by information with placing an unauthorized structure in the Ouachita National Forest, in violation of 36 C.F.R. § 261.10(a), and also with camping within the National Forest for more than thirty days, in violation of 36 C.F.R. § 261.58(a). After trial before the Court sitting without a jury, she was found guilty. The Court sentenced her to six months' imprisonment and a fine of $500.00, plus a special assessment...
