Plaintiff Wallace Harwood ("the pilot" or "Harwood"), a harbor pilot, was injured while attempting to board the defendant's ship, M/V CAPTAIN MOST. Harwood brought suit in federal court alleging causes of action under the Jones Act and general maritime law.
