Petitioner Larry Moffett commenced this action by seeking a writ of habeas corpus from the district court on the ground that at his state court trial for attempted first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery, he was denied his right to effective assistance of counsel in violation of the Sixth Amendment. The district court granted habeas corpus relief but stayed its order for 60 days so that the State of Wisconsin could grant petitioner a new trial...
