This is a lawsuit between formerly married parties, involving the issue of spousal immunity.

On August 23, 1987, plaintiff was a passenger and defendant was the driver of a motorcycle when an accident occurred and plaintiff was injured. Although the parties were married at the time of the accident, they were divorced in 1988.
